I doubt very seriously that you would be able to get an unsecured line of credit. If you own a home you could either re-finance and take the equity to pay off your credit card debt or you could get a loan and use your house as colladeral. Other than that you may want to contact each credit card company and let them know that you are struggling and you need a lower interest rate until you get a handle on your bills. Dont close the credit cards because that will bring your score down more..unless you have more than 6 credit cards you may want to close (only if they agree to stop charging your finance rate each month) close the cards that you opened more recently. Your credit score is 35% payment history so if you close your credit cards that you have had open longer, you are cutting your credit history, which in turn brings your score lower... Good luck.. Short answer... can't be done. Long, but correct answer... Start a business (Inc or LLC), set-up a business banking account, and apply for credit under the business name. A few suggestions: 1) Just keep paying it for now. Even if it doesn't come down it's not going up either. Get a second job in the evenings or weekends doing telemarketing, surveys or even burger flipping. Use the money from that paycheck to knock that 15k down bit by bit. 2) Scour your place for junk to sell on ebay. Clean up old computers or laptops and just put them on ebay...use the proceeds to pay extra on one of the CCs. 3) Clean up your credit report. Learn all the tricks, like negotiating to get certain bad debts deleted in return for partial payment. Also write a dispute letter and a validation of debt letter. Sometimes the collection agency or creditor does not respond and the baddie drops off your credit report! Research this thoroughly.
